Fairbanks Park

Managed by the Terre Haute Park & Recreation Dept.,
this access site has a paved boat ramp, a large dock,
and a large paved parking lot.
The park also offers a river walk, trash cans, covered
picnic tables, covered picnic pavilions, a playground,
restrooms, an amphitheater, interesting monuments, potable
water, and access to the National Road Heritage Trail.
Set up by the boat ramp, Joe's Airboats offers airboat
rides on the Wabash River. Food, supplies and fuel are
also fairly close by.
From the river, this access site is on the left bank,
about 1 mile downstream of the US 40 bridges.
