Vincennes Public Access Site at Kimmel Park

Managed by the City of Vincennes, the access site has an ADA accessible paved boat ramp and large paved parking lot.

At the entrance to the park is the Vincennes Boat Club with their private docks and ramp. Available to the public at Kimmel Park are several nice picnic areas, a very large covered picnic pavilion, trash cans, an old basketball court, and a small RV campground (with electric).

From the river, this access site is on the left bank about 1 mile downstream of the US 50 bridge and upstream (within sight) of a railroad bridge.

Important: The river is constantly changing. Hazards like log jams and tree falls will come and go often, so always be ready for them. Even islands and riverbends come and go over time. Riffles and sandbars will appear and disappear based on water flow levels. Do not attempt boating on this or any river during high water. Please be safe, respectful and responsible on the river.
